Welcome to The 'World Record for Kids' campaign!
Thanks to the generosity of nearly 100 people, WE REACHED OUR GOAL!

$20,000 has been donated to the Mobile Mini Circus for Children, critical support that continues the work of bringing laughter, skills, extra-curricular education, and adult mentors to refugee youth in Afghanistan.
A deep THANK YOU to all involved in the World Record for Kids effort, from planning logistics in Fargo, to Philadelphia, to Salt Lake City, to Afghanistan. Special thanks to Steve Ragatz and the International Jugglers Association, Brian and Tom and Island Park Cycles of Fargo, to Sem Abrabams of Semcycle, to Harvard Divinity School, and to my joggling rival, Michal Kapral of Canada.
The Guinness 2008 book features my joggling marathon record (3:07.05). Guinnes is two years behind in their bookkeeping. Even still, Michael Kapral has recently taken back the record, finishing just two minutes under my 2:52 record at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Michal's victory is well earned, and he will hold the record for a while...but not forever.
I have moved to Karachi, Pakistan, for work, and to be closer to the Afghan MMCC in Kabul. My marathon training will be limited. Nonetheless, given a few years, I'll be back on course to reclaim that record! And perhaps we'll launch a new campaign for children, if not in Afghanistan then rural Pakistan.
Khoda hafez,
Zach

"The Afghan Mobile Mini Circus for Children is an
established Child-Protection NGO that helps Afghan kids re-learn how to play. More than a circus, the
MMCC empowers children to develop their own sense of identity and meaning through the arts.
A dedicated crew of staff and volunteers provide refugee children with hot meals, education and opportunities
for creative expression. After decades of war and oppression, the MMCC gives Afghans the skills required to
imagine and realize a better future. "

Our Goal!
"To raise $20,000 in funds and supplies for the
Mobile Mini Circus for Children (MMCC), an Afghan-International organization that helps traumatized children heal through creativity, laughter, and play. The circus also conducts health education, conflict resolution, and landmine awareness theater pieces across Afghanistan. Zach Warren calls it "the Pied Piper of children," as it gathers, entertains and educates more children than any other NGO in Afghanistan, using the circus as a medium for social change.
Why Afghanistan?
In the summer of 2005, Zach spent three months living, teaching, and performing with this organization using a grant from Harvard Divinity School. Moved by what he saw, Zach returned to the US with a desire to do more to help, using skills he developed as a circus performer.
Zach needs your help. Please consider making a contribution to the MMCC, and choose to make a difference for children in Afghanistan. All contributions go to MMCC classes, workshops, performances, teacher salaries and related costs. Donations are tax-deductable.
MMCC needs...

- Circus supplies!
- Art supplies for future painters, dancers, writers and poets!
