Insuring Your Car

Published by Forkids Team at 2:50 pm under Insurance

We talked of many things to keep in mind when securing your car, but that’s what you need to do in case you need to use the auto insurance.

What to do if you have an accident:
In the event of an accident to obtain all information possible on site. Keep on hand a pen and paper in his car for this purpose. Take note of the names and addresses of impartial witnesses before they lose interest and leave the scene. If you happens to have a camera in the car, take pictures before the vehicles are moved. Also, make a sketch of the accident while the details are fresh in your mind.

- Ask the other drivers involved for their names and addresses and make a note of your registration number, make and model of vehicle
- Ask for the name of their insurers, insurance companies, and also, if possible, your policy number
- There may be injuries or damage to vehicles and / or belongings. If so, you are required to provide your name and address, name and address of the owner of the car you drive and registration number
- If there are injured you must present your insurance certificate to a police officer or someone with genuine reasons to want to see. If you can not do this in the scene must present the certificate at a police station within 24 hours
- Do not place blame and / or discussed at the scene. Doing so can create problems for you and your insurance when managing your complaint and / or part
- You must tell your car insurance as soon as possible-even if you plan to present a part. This is a condition of your policy
- Tell your insurer any statement made at the accident scene by any of the involved
- Complete any accident report with as much information as possible.

After an accident you must submit a party to the insurer. This is a friendly statement of the incident, but at the same time is the only evidence of what happened, therefore it is extremely important to fill this very well.
The first step is to complete information concerning all those involved in the incident, people and vehicles. Note all these data demonstrate. This means to fill the party with ID card and car insurance certificate in hand of all those involved in the incident.

The second step is the description of the incident:

On one hand you must specify the damages caused to the vehicle, on the other side has to make a sketch of the accident. And finally must present their observations. Remember that every part must be signed, that does not mean that nobody is responsible for what happened and the party has no validity.
